You have been working for an education institute for almost twenty years and you are well-experienced in evaluating the effectiveness of teaching to improve the student learning.
Examinations have traditionally been viewed as a gold standard of assessment in education. In this spring, you meet MaivenPoint Examena. When transferring to a new system, it’s always the first step that costs, but MaivenPoint devotes to making a difference.
Instead of manually inputting all resources to the new system from the scratch, with Examena, you can bring the entire exam paper onboard along with the questions inside through a file. With questions filling up the question bank, you can also let the system automatically generate paper by pulling random questions from question bank upon a customisable outline (defined as paper skeleton in Examena). To prepare a paper easy and efficient, you can create paper with AI questions.
You will use Examena to do so by:
1. Sign into MaivenPoint Online Services, go to Examena, and go to the Bank page.
2. You have the following options in Examena for creating an exam paper:
•Import a paper. In this case, you need to ensure the paper in the file is well formatted according to the sample.
•Manually adding each section and question to a paper. In this way, you can create papers from the scratch.
•Create a paper with AI questions. In this case, you can leverage on AI questions to create the paper quickly and easily.
•Create an oral paper. For oral exams, you can prepare papers with oral questions beforehand.
•Generate a paper based on a paper skeleton. The question bank may have been filled up with questions that you want to use.
3. After exam papers are created, you can perform the following actions:
•Preview – Preview a paper in both marker view and candidate view.
•Export to QTI paper – Export a paper to QTI paper that conforms to QTI specification.
•Generate PDF – Generate PDF file for a paper in either marker view or candidate view. To include correct answers, marking guide, and appendix and reference file (if any) in the generated PDF file, select to generate PDF with marker view.
