How to duplicate Combined Knowledge courses?

As a course admin, you can duplicate Combined Knowledge courses to use their content and make updates.

You can duplicate a Combined Knowledge course into a self-paced course. Settings that were not allowed to be modified in the third-party course can be modified after being duplicated into a self-paced course. Note that duplicating into a self-paced course will break content and metadata inheritance, so changes made to the original course will not affect the duplicate.

Alternatively, you can duplicate a Combined Knowledge course into a third-party course. In this case, updates made to the content groups and learning objects in the Combined Knowledge course will be automatically synced to the duplicate. Note that course-level settings will not be synced.

*Note: Duplicating Combined Knowledge courses is available only when the course is Active and Released.

Let’s see how to duplicate a Combined Knowledge course.

1.   In Curricula, click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.

2.   In the Third-party courses tab, select the Combined Knowledge course and then click Duplicate.

3.   In the Duplicate course panel, complete the following information:

Select Self-paced course if you want to duplicate this course into a self-paced course; select Third-party course if you want to duplicate this course into a third-party course.

The Course code cannot be changed.

A - Copy suffix is added to the Course name. You can change the course name.

Set an End time or select No end time.

4.   Click Save and edit now to open the Edit self-paced course or Edit third-party course panel where you can further update the course information.

5.   When completing updating the course information, click Save and release. The course is now available to learners.
