Programme admins can delete a no-longer used blended course. Let’s see how to delete a blended course in Curricula.
When a blended course is deleted, the course budget, staff workbin, discussion forum, and survey will be deleted as well.
Blended courses in the Released status cannot be deleted directly. To proceed, you must first unrelease the course.
However, if there are any classes or staff materials within the blended course, you must delete them first, and then unrelease the blended course. After completing these steps, you can delete the blended course.
1. To delete staff materials, complete the following steps:
a. Click Course on the left navigation pane, and then click the card of the blended course to open the Course details page.
b. In the Staff workbin section, select all staff materials and click Delete.
c. Click Delete in the confirmation message.
2. To delete classes, complete the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and then click Configure.
c. In the Configure classes step, select all classes in the course and click Delete. When the last class in a course is deleted, the course sessions and content will also be deleted.
3. To unrelease the blended course, complete the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Unrelease.
c. Click Unrelease in the confirmation message.
4. Now, you can delete the blended course by completing the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Delete.
c. Click Delete in the confirmation message.
Blended courses in the Unreleased status can be deleted directly.
However, if there are any classes or staff materials within the blended course, you must first release the blended course, delete the classes and staff materials within the blended course, and then unrelease the blended course. After completing these steps, you can delete the blended course.
1. To release the blended course, complete the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Release.
c. Click Release in the confirmation message.
2. To delete staff materials, complete the following steps:
a. Click Course on the left navigation pane, and then click the card of the blended course to open the Course details page.
b. In the Staff workbin section, select all staff materials and click Delete.
c. Click Delete in the confirmation message.
3. To delete classes, complete the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
a. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and then click Configure.
b. In the Configure classes step, select all classes in the course and click Delete. When the last class in a course is deleted, the course sessions and content will also be deleted.
4. To unrelease the blended course, complete the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Unrelease.
c. Click Unrelease in the confirmation message.
5. Now, you can delete the blended course by completing the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course again, click Delete.
c. Click Delete in the confirmation message.

a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Unrelease.
c. Click Unrelease in the confirmation message.
3. Now, you can delete the blended course by completing the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Delete.
c. Click Delete in the confirmation message.

c. In the Configure content step, select all learning objects and click Delete. Click Delete in the confirmation message.
d. In the Manage learners step, select all learners and click Remove. Click Remove in the confirmation message.
3. To unrelease the blended course, complete the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Unrelease.
c. Click Unrelease in the confirmation message.
4. Now, you can delete the blended course by completing the following steps:
a. Click Admin on the left navigation pane, and then click Course configuration.
b. In the Blended courses tab, select the blended course and click Delete.
c. Click Delete in the confirmation message.
