How to add a series of assessment meetings as learning objects?

The assessment meeting can be conducted as a one-on-one meeting to evaluate the learner's understanding and mastery of course material, provide personalized feedback, identify areas for improvement, or set learning and development goals.

The course manager in an organisation would like to have a series of assessment meetings for the oral questioning. Learners can select their desired meeting slots and attend the exam separately. Now let’s see how to add the assessment meeting in Curricula.

1.   In Curricula, click Course on the left navigation pane, and find the course.

2.   Click Configure to open the Course configurations page.

3.   Locate an existing content group or create a new one, and then click the learning object type Assessment meeting.

Add assessment meetings as learning objects.

4.   Fill in the learning object information and click Save and publish.

5.   In the Publish learning object panel, configure the following settings for each class:

    Enable learner booking

You need to choose whether to allow learners to book a meeting slot for themselves. If learner booking is disabled, after publishing the assessment meeting, staff can find the Booking list button on the Publish learning object panel. When the booking open time arrives, staff can book meeting slots for learners by clicking the Booking list button or they can find the assessment meeting on the Result > Tasks page to manage booking.

    Meeting slot settings

After configuring meeting slot settings, click Preview to check the meeting slots.

The supported meeting apps are Microsoft Teams and Zoom. For Zoom, the meeting host is the user who can start the meeting in Zoom and cannot be assigned to multiple meetings at the same time.

Open time and close time for booking

Learners can book meeting slots for their assessments during the booking time. Once the close time arrives, they cannot book any assessment meeting.

6.   When finishing the configurations for a class, click Publish. The assessment meeting will be published to learners.
